News added: February 17, 2010

I have been getting a lot of information regarding Audrey and Judy lately, so I thought I would add a news page to the site. I will update the page when I get worthy information, so there may not be regular updates.

Judy will be appearing at the Autograph Nationals in Pasadena on March 20. Meet Judy, and get an autograph from her. Advance tickets are $20, and there will be over 150 other celebrities attending, including Edie McClurg, who appeared with Judy in Madame's Place. You can see a complete list of who will be there, and purchase tickets at the Autograph Nationals web site. Make sure you tell Judy you found out about it on the Landers Sisters Web Page.

Audrey is on Facebook! There is now an official fan page for Audrey Landers. If you're on Facebook, you can become a fan and hear news from Audrey herself.

Run out and buy the latest issue of Soap Opera Digest, dated February 16, 2010. The Where Are They Now section features Audrey and her Landers STAR Collection and mentions her recent appearances on "Burn Notice."

Audrey and Ruth's next appearance on ShopNBC with their Landers STAR Collection will be January 14th -- 1:00 a.m., 8:00 a.m., and 11:00 a.m. EST. You can always check out the video clips from the show on shopnbc.com.

Volume 2 of the first season of Vega$ will be available on February 9, 2010. Judy is probably only in two episodes of this volume. She left in the middle of the first season because she wasn't given enough to do. However, one of these episodes prominently features Judy. The show, titled "Everything I Touch," has Judy's character Angie trying out for a part in the musical "Gypsy." She has several scenes in tight fitting clothes, and the final scene of her in a red bikini is not to be missed! This episode is well worth buying the set for Judy fans.

Thanks again to Robert Pich for the news item.

The Landers STAR Collection, the clothing line from Audrey and Ruth Landers, is not available at ShopNBC. They Launched on September 22. Here's a Youtube Video of Audrey and Ruth promoting it.

At last, Vega$ is being released on DVD. Vega$ was Judy's first show as a regular cast member, and first aired in the Fall of 1978. The show starred Robert Urich as a private detective for the Desert Inn and was also available for hire. It also starred Phyllis Davis, Tony Curtis, Bart Braverman, and Greg Morris. Volume one the first season of the Vega$ will be available in stores on October 20, 2009. Judy was only in about eleven episodes of the first season, and left the show for other acting jobs. I do not know if all of her appearances will be in Volume One, or if we will have to wait for Volume two to get the complete collection.

Thanks to Robert Pich for the news item.

The 30th Anniversary Dallas Reunion took place this weekend, and Audrey was a part of it. Here are a few pictures courtesy of the Dallas forum on Soap Chat (where you can find more pictures of the event). Even more pictures at DallasFanzine.com. I hope to have Audrey's comments about the reunion up soon. Click on the pics to get bigger versions.

And here are some pics from Audrey, along with her comments about the reunion. These pics are actual size, so no clicky.

"It was a HUGE event! The Reunion was much more spectacular than any of us (the cast) thought it would be.  My mom, my son and I arrived at the ranch at about 1 or 2 PM . (We had  press meetings all morning.) By the time I actually left the crowds to take a 5 minute break, it was 11 PM-- and that was when I tried to have a quick bite to eat! I can't say I actually did because I was whisked back onto the stage for a presentation of the key to the city.-- then fireworks during which some fans started chanting "Audrey, SING! Audrey, Sing!" So I sang a cappella a quick verse from a song I had written and sang  the first season. I got back to my hotel at about 2 A.M.-- and finally ordered my "dinner " from room service!"

"I met so many wonderful people ! Dallas fans came from all over the world. I met folks from Brazil, Germany, Scotland, Italy, Great Britain, and from all over the U.S. and Canada. Everyone I met was thrilled with the event. I'm sorry that there were some disappointed fans. I can understand their sentiments. I think that so many more people actually turned out for the event than the organizers had expected, that there was a bit of chaos. I know I did my best to say hello and sign as many autographs as I could. It was crazy for me too. Although, I do think that for the most part, those in attendance had a great time. The event itself surpassed my expectations! The fans could not have been more friendly, polite and enthusiastic!"

Audrey's fan club in Florida has set up an ebay store: landers-fan-club. They will be selling Audrey's records and pictures, most of them signed by Audrey. If you want to make sure the autograph is authentic, buy it from them. And a portion of the profits go to Audrey's favorite charity, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, so not only are you getting a piece of Landers memorabilia, you are also giving to a worthy cause.

I'm sure you've heard of the Dallas Reunion to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the show, and you may be wondering if Audrey will be there. Here's what she had to say about it:

I have not yet been invited. I would love to attend. I guess that if some of my fans check on the ultimatedallas.com web site, they can ask if I will be attending. Honestly, I don't know who to contact regarding that :)

So go out there and ask for Afton! If enough of her fans ask, Audrey may get invited.

If you're wondering about the reality show starring Audrey, Judy and their families, there should be some news in September. If all goes well, they may be on the E! Entertainment network in January.

Here is more info on Audrey and Ruth's fashion collection from Audrey:

I have a fashion collection in Europe on Home Shopping Europe, called "Landers STAR Collection," seen on HSE24 TV as well as on www.HSE24.de . My mom, Ruth, and I travel to Munich several times a year to present each season's latest. Our design house is in NYC in the famed fashion district. Our theme is that women of all ages can be glamorous: Every woman is a star and she deserves to shine. My mom and I design together, and we present the on air shows in English (me) and German (my mom is fluent.) What a team!

There's been a lot of TV shows released on DVD recently. Everything from classics like the Dick Van Dyke show, to modern hits such as Desperate Housewives. Even Dallas is availble (Audrey co-stars begin in season 4). But none of Judy's shows are available.

Here's hoping we can change that. Go to the Colombia House site (columbiahouse.com) or Sony Pictures- (www.sonypictures.com/tvdvd) and ask about getting "BJ and the Bear," or "Madame's Place" on DVD. Click on "Help" at the bottom of each page, and you should find an email address. Drop them a line, and perhaps they will hear us and give us what we want.

Thanks to Judy fan Robert Pich for suggesting this.
